Parents and Carers
Thank you for your interest in parent / carer commissioned Educational Psychologist work. We have very limited capacity to do parent / carer commissions, because most of our work involves fulfilling school contracts. However, if you do wish to enquire about our capacity, please note the key information below and then complete the form.
- We only work in London and the South East
- All parent / carer commissioned casework will require a visit for assessment to our Greenwich office, SE10 9FR.

- Please note that there is high demand for parent / carer commissioned work at the moment, which will mean that we cannot accept all referrals.

| 1: Initial Consultation Package (age 0-25) |
- Telephone / video consultation with parent / carer
PLEASE NOTE: this is the starting point for all EP involvement and is used to identify assessment questions and the appropriate package for you. Should you progress to one of our assessment packages (see below), the £150 fee for this initial consultation will be deducted from the cost of your package.

| 2: Early Years (age 2-4) Holistic Package |
- Only available after Initial Consultation.
- Gaining consent and clarifying the purpose of EP involvement.
- Information gathering, e.g. use of developmental questionnaires.
- Parental consultation by telephone / video to discuss concerns, needs and strengths, and possible next steps.
- Telephone consultation with Nursery staff.
- Observation in the home and in the Nursery setting.
- Play based assessment.
- Written report, including formulation of need and recommendations
- Feedback meeting by video with parent / carers and Nursery staff

| 3: School Age (age 5-16) Holistic Package |
- Only available after Initial Consultation.
- Gaining consent and clarifying the purpose of EP involvement.
- Information gathering, e.g. use of questionnaires.
- Parental consultation by video / telephone to discuss concerns, needs and strengths, and possible next steps.
- Telephone consultation with school staff.
- Observation in the school (as appropriate)
- Individual assessment work with the child, including child view.
- Development questionnaires.
- Report, including formulation of need and recommendations.
- Feedback meeting by video with parent / carers and school staff.

| 4: Post 16 (age 16-25) Holistic Package |
- Only available after Initial Consultation.
- Gaining consent and clarifying the purpose of EP involvement.
- Information gathering, e.g. use of questionnaires.
- Parental consultation by video / telephone to discuss concerns, needs and strengths, and possible next steps.
- Telephone consultation with school / college staff.
- Observation in the home / school / college setting (as appropriate)
- Individual assessment work, including young person view.
- Functional skills questionnaires.
- Written report including formulation of need and recommendations.
- Feedback meeting by video with parent / carers and school / college staff (as appropriate)
- Feedback letter to young person (as appropriate)

| 5: Action Plan package (age 0-25) |
- Joint telephone / video, action focused consultation with parent / carer and school / college.
- Written summary of the consultation, including action points.

- 1 hour Review video meeting with school / college and home.
- Write up of the meeting and summary of next steps.

- Delivery of individual intervention with a child / young person, as indicated by
the consultation / assessment.
- NOTE: parent / carer will need to be available for the sessions also.
- Examples of interventions: a block of Cognitive Behavioural work / Solution Focused block/ Coaching sessions / a VIG case (three cycles of Video Interaction Guidance
